There is definitely a cure for your husband I ve been on the new treatment for six weeks now and was undetectable at 4. Find yourself a good hepatoligist, get some test done on geno type, get a liver biopsy if he hasn't already and learn more about your treatment options. Good luck. Joe

Yes there is hope, we have the new treatment out and it is giving a lot of people who haven't cleared the virus with just the ribovirin and pegyses. As soon as he found out he should have started the treatment. I have been on treatment twice now this is going to be my third time. I am very hopeful.

There is a cure for hep c, it is called SVR and it is achieved with shots along with 1 or 2 other medications depending on his genotype(type of hep c he has). However it is not as easy as it sounds, at a minimum of 24 weeks and 24 for shots along with oral meds to achieve SVR(sustained virological response) there will be lots of lab test and side effects from meds as well. Side effects vary from person to person though. If you are worried that you may contract hep c thruogh sex use protection.
