Interview

I am going to be interviewed for a MPBN about my journey and Solvadi.
I guess they are saying that Solvadi is a niche drug for a rare disease. Well I guess you know that does not set with my DR. and he wanted a patient to be interviewed which I said yes to as long as my last name wasn't used.
I may get a message that this is wrong forum but I wanted my buds to know what was going on!
How can they say it's a rare disease.

Thanks for posting and letting us know about this interview. I am glad you are doing it.

I agree with everything Frijoli said. LOL. I admire you for treating so many times and coming back time after time to keep trying. I surely hope this last treatment is the one that gives you a cure.

Wishing you SVR!

Tell me more, rockymoe.  First, it has only been about a month since you finished, correct?  Have you had a 1 month post PCR done?  Or if my time line is off, where are you, exactly.  Have you unofficially achieved SVR?

Now, what is MPBN?  I assume they are some kind of news media?  How far is their coverage?  Will I be able to see this in Texas?

As to this being a niche drug for a rare disease - well, we know that is not so, but if it opens the door to more coverage that is good.  It is much more prevelant than any of us know -- heck, I treated 2 times and 2 of my brothers don't even have a clue.

The more and more we see news, the less the stigma becomes.  Having beautiful people on Hep C commercials may be distasteful to some people, but I think it will open some doors.  Maybe you can open some doors too.  I am assuming they don't want statistics from you.  What about causes?  Do you think they will pursue that?  I think the answer to that is  at this point, that doesn't matter and asking that question my prevent some people from being tested.  No one should be asked.  The purpose now should be getting as many people as possible in to be checked and to start treatment.  Never before has there been a better time to treat.  THese new drugs are incredible..

You, my friend, have a remarkable story, and I don't even know all of it.  I just know you treated about 7 times.  I know that your asthma almost did you in on treatment.  I know the anemia was over the top with the triple.  I know you have more guts and perserverance that almost anyone I know.  I am glad they are going to interview you.  Give them hell!
