I had the mood swings (Dr. put me on 40 mg. Prozac once a day) and the rash was the first thing my husband noticed on me. Mostly arms. And yes fatigue is quite normal & they say you should rest as much as possible with HCV. Renew yourself - do what it takes to relax yourself. "The itchies" as i called them about drove me crazy. Has your doc suggested Benadryl? You might inquire about this - it really did help me but everyone is different. Take care!
thanks everyone, i go back t the doc's on the 12th to let him know i decided to bite the bullet and do TX, i will for sure talk to him about starting anti-depressants before hand .
not looking forward to it at all, but tired of being tired too
Yes, these are all normal symptoms, they differ from person to person.
Like nygirl my Doc. started me on antidepressants a month before I started tx, saw him once a month, to be monitored. Except for a short period of Riba rage in the first two weeks, I did well the rest of the way.
They will wean me off them pretty soon.
Good Luck - Lynne.
Speak to your doctor about starting on a good antidepressent before treatment begins - it helped level out my mood swings pretty well and interferon itself can exagerate these things so you want to make sure it's under control BEFORE you start.
My doc put me on a month beforehand and so when I started............nice and level the whole time.
yep, most get them syptoms and more but boy is it worth it,my skin is flaking off non stop its not very attractive lol,but i dont care i know it will go away when off tx,not every1 gets it bad, you'll be right.i have tonnes of crappy symptoms but i only have 4 weeks to go on tx and if it dont work then il do it again and again, regardless of symptoms.good luck with your upcoming tx.
yes itchy n sensitive skin and mood is normal before and during tx... Moreover fatigue is the basic symptoms of HCV.... Hope you'll start tx soon
