Ruby the nausea will likely end near week 6.  The olden day remedy's still
do work.
Saltines, ginger ale (the flatter the better) ginger snap cookies, and some protein with each meal.  A handful of peanuts always took the edge away.

Honestly the more you think about how sick you feel, the more apt you are
to feel sick.  Go outside!   The distraction causes you to lesson interspective
emotions and feelings and you then can shift your focus.  Hit a movie or read
an interesting book.  I loved the library while on Tx.  It's free and lottsa good
info to absorb.  Maybe a romance novel or some 50 Shades of Gray.  That should get your mind off of Tx.  Maybe into the gutter but who cares.
Your hanging in there and doing great!   Keep reminding yourself that once Tx has ended and your cured your life will take an entire new direction.
Stay the course!  Your almost half way there.

I actually forgot about the nausea. You reminded me of it. Nausea, fatigue and no memory. It does get better. Everyone is different, but at 6 weeks I started to have some good days. With 2 days left, I am feeling pretty good and I think that will improve even more soon. I can actually remember why I walked into the other room. Before I would just stand there and not remember. I was sofa bound for a while during the first 6 weeks and still rely on rest to get me through the day.

Ahhh, that's so sweet and good to hear because right now I am so exhausted that I feel like throwing in the towel. Plus, my insurance won't cover Phenergan and I'm broke. I keep thinking I'm a sissy cause most everyone feels so good and this is only s/o and is supposed to have no sides...

I bet you are UD. The nausea passes at 5-6 weeks and the fatigue lessens and may be gone at 7-8 weeks. Hang in there.

I'm just finishing week 4 and need to sleep 12 hours daily, kind of like passing out for 12 hours or being in high school again. Plus, I have a lot of nausea but have a script waiting for me if I can drag myself over there. However, I do have cirrhosis. Still, quite tolerable. Oh yeah, enzymes are normal for first time in many many years. No vl yet.

Hello I wanted to say, again, that your news is so good that I want to bump it up so others can see and take comfort from the fact that there are people who feel well during and after tx.  I am very happy for you.  I hope this will be the experience for many others.  My hepatologist said that the reason I had such a hard time was because I was going in to cirrhosis.  In fact he warned me that it would be hard to do the tx and hard to kill the virus.  It was....very hard....there were days I wanted so badly to quit but I stuck it out and am now cured and happy, 2 years post tx. :)
Thanks for sharing :)

Everyone responds differently to treatment, any treatment.
Some have side effects to varying degrees, others don't.
Some achieve SVR, some don't.

Enjoy not having any side effects and hope to reach SVR.

I am with you. I felt the same before, during, and after treatment. Maybe a sore knee? I was undetectable after 4 weeks and at EOT but on the 12 week post test I had the virus back. But I never really felt different at any point.

good luck on treatment
