I am a U.S. Veteran. On March 17, 2011 I started treatment for Hep c in a clinical trial study sponsored by Roche through the Bronx, NY VA Hospital. At the baseline treatment on March 17, 2011 they initially took blood samples. The clinical trial doctor told me that my viral load for the March 17, 2011 blood samples was 27,000,000. Prior to that my previous lab tests viral load was 5,160,000 on February 17, 2011. Is it normal for a viral load to jump 22,000,000 in approximately one month or is there a possibility of incompetency on the trial doctors behalf. I take the same medication everyday since 2007, Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg once a day and Terazosin 1 mg at bedtime. I am attaching my previous viral load results so you can see the gross difference in the results. I would appreciate any insight you could forward to me.
