I just finished 60 weeks P/R .. Jan. 4 , Tx Sx seem to be slowly going away .. Some days i wake feeling really good .. some days - no energy .. other than that I'm feeling ok .. overall feeling much better than when I was on Tx ...
I hope your Sx will dissipate soon !
Curious if you are saying the FM is a result of your P/R Tx ?
I am trying to research a bit on FM as it's possible my wife has been afflicted with this (not tx related). How was this condition diagnosed in your case ?
You are correct to say Take the Pills With Food , if for no other reason the absorption factor/effectiveness ... and for sure having an ulcer on top of all this stress ... would be terrible ..
Cheers
I did the 48weaker of peg and RIBA,. Finished 3 mnths ago and now researching after effects. Sorry people, I still feel horrible and m bed ridden several days a week from fibromyalgia. A peptic ulcer has formed from being so anorexic. The stomach juices just kill me, even after small amounts of food. Please make sure to eat with your pills, as I did not.
Hi I did my 3rd injection yesterday .Thanks to God I did not have sx I took it around 2 Pm went to bed around 10PM and was fine .So far the injections have not been bad for me no side affects I am so grateful. The worst thing I have had up to now is the sluggish feeling and no energy and several nights not sleeping. Thanks to all of you I drink water (lots ) and try to move around some and just take one day at a time. You have helped me so much to deal with this .
I'm geno 2 and doing interferon/riba.
It's important to take the riba with food. I had to start taking my second dose earlier in the day because it kept me up at night.
Be sure you are drinking lots of water, more than you think, it does help.
Are you taking tylenol with your shots? This can help. We tend to take our shots in the evening so we can sleep through the worst of the sides.
For about the first 4 weeks, I was napping in the afternoon. Now, I'm still tired but no longer nap. Some days are easier than others, some weeks easier than others.
If you are having a lot of difficulty talk to your doctor.
Good luck.
OH
Thanks was just wondering if anyone was type3. 3rd injection earlier so hopefull no side affects praying any way that God takes them away like he did other 2 inj.
God Bless
I am type 2, just started last friday, second shot tonight. side effects were not as horrible as I expected, no fever, chills, etc... Monday and Tuesday were propabaly the worse as far as fatigue, but not horrible. I felt like I did a really hard day of physical labor the day before, ha...I was ready to go to sleep by the end of the night and had no problem doing so. I was able to do all the running around I normally do, by Wednesday, I was feeling alittle better, thursday even better, just a little grumpy,ha. today not so bad at all, I excercised a little this morning and just feel like I should drink cup of tea or something. Ready to start the process all over again with shot number 2! I'm hoping it will stay like it was this week, but realize every week has it's own special part of the story to tell.
Also geno 1 on Peg/Riba. After the first 3 weeks the fatigue and other sides began to kick in pretty hard and the following month was both physically and mentally challenging. It felt like a wild rollercoaster ride that I wanted to get off of very quickly, but wanted to stay in the game to rid the virus. Like suezeeque, I kinda got used to it, feeling crappy became the norm, some days better than others. The sides come and go with little warning and very unpredicatable.
I had a brief period of trouble sleeping in the beginning, but not an issue now. Many avoid taking the Riba later in the evening since this may interfere with sleep. I usually take at dinner time. Best of luck through the remainder of trt.
I have gen. 1 but was on SOC (peg and riba). Just stopped a week ago.
Yes, I felt very fatigued the first month. It was most pronounced then because it hit pretty hard, fast. Then I sort of got used to it. I didn't have any trouble sleeping at all but I understand that many do.
