No treatment for cirrhosis?

I was diagnosed with cirrhosis in 2012 , fibrosis stage 4, fibroscan score:  20.6

I followed a very tough treatment for a year, with triple medication ( Telaprevir, Pegasys and Rivabirin).

One year after the HCV treatment the cirrhosis was already reversed to fibrosis stage F1-F2, fibroscan score 7.7

In the present, the fibrosis stage of my liver is F0, fibroscan score 5.9

Wow that is awesome fantastic news!

How long do you estimate you had cirrhosis and were you experiencing any symptoms of cirrhosis?

I was diagnosed with cirrhosis in 01/08 and had developed esophageal varicies that required banding and also have a platelet count around 80 to 90 both due to portal hypertension.

I also have some pitting edema in my lower legs and take a diuretic to help reduce the swelling. Also I have thousands of red dots on my torso called petechiae that are also due to my low platelet count did you have any of these or other symptoms?

Thanks
Lynn

Thank you very much, Pat. It is wonderful indeed. I did not use a specific liver friendly diet.
I posted what happened to me, because knowing that this terrible disease had no cure, I was desperate when I found myself having it...
