Just checking in

It's been a while since I've here and have been cured of Hep C. All blood work always comes back perfect. Dec. 2nd will be two years post transplant. I still see familiar names here and if you haven't been cured yet I have great hope you will be with these new drugs.

Still performing in Southern California, although now, after 47 years of it, I'm slowing down. I get up, have coffee, read my emails and every night I rehearse 1.5 hours 5 days a week. I also work out with weights 5 days a week. My diet is no red meat, a salad every day, fish, chicken and turkey. I cheat a little with pizza. Doctor is still amazed at not only my recovery, but my health. After 14 surgeries, I should be up there with Elvis, but it's not my time.... yet.

Here's hoping all of you are doing well. I'll periodically check in and stay in touch...

Keep with the music. I just finished reading Oliver Sack's book Musicophelia and it's amazing how language and music are so different in the way that they developed in the human brain (music, first) and the way music stimulates portions of your brain that language does not - including happiness

I haven't been on here much either.  I'm so glad to hear you are doing well!  I finally made SVR12 11/25/15 and am so happy to see so many familiar names and friends from here all finally beating this beast! Hopes and good thoughts continue for those who are still fighting.
