Learned some positive things to try

Today while having my transfusion, I was on the cancer unit. The woman ext to me just had colon surgery and they told her they think it was cancer. She was very worried and anxious.A mental health nurse came into to talk to her. She told her you have have to think positive thoughts they help heal. Negative thoughts have negative effects on healing. She told her to think of a positve thoght when she starts thinking negative such as This I will also get thru. She also said to listen to relaxtion music. She said they find classical music with four repeative notes, she says the brain remembers this and processes it as positive thoughts. Also nature sounds such as water falls, rain etc. She said when they play nature animals sounds in the neo natal units the babies fall asleep, (note to self, next baby shower gift). They also have Reiki volunteers which is positive energy by the laying of hands. She said when they do this to patients during chemo treatments they relax and sleep. Anyway thought I would pass on this food for thought! I think while fighting this dragon I am game to try anything that might help:)
