Nothing like good armpit shots!
Thats the reason i kept shooting...there were people with cell phone cameras all over ...i guess they thought my camera was too good...LOL...they didnt like me recording the show...but i got most of it....Massy Hall is a little strict on cameras i think...they were watching me like a hawk...i kept the cam under my sleeve
LOL I had no idea they were that concerned about people shooting at concerts because of the proliferation of video phones etc in existence, but I guess they are still worried that someone will make money off of their bootleg shots.
With all the electronics today its tough for a band to make money selling their cd's etc. so for a good part they rely on spin-off marketing (concert tours and all the t shirts, posters and other paraphenalia to make a buck). And what a buck!
No...but i did see Joe at the Govt a few years ago...i do have pics tho...i hard a difficult tome trying to conceal my cam at the Vai show...the security almost booted me out a few times...buti kept on shooting
You certainly enjoy Steve Vai. Do you remember the movie "Crossroads" where he was the musician playing for the devil in a dual for someone's soul? Good film.
I went to see Joe Satriani at Massey Hall back in the late 80's and I was really impressed by his ability to perform in the "classical" guitar style. Do you have any footage of that concert, by chance?
to view full screen...just click on tghe small white square on the bottom left of the video.. Rush was shot at a lower resolution...but the Steve Vai came out not too bad.
