Yahooo !!! SF Giants !!!! I have to stand by my SFGiants !
Robert, yes Tim is great ! he did it !!
Sorry to all my friends in TX !!
I'm sure that you could construe the purchase as a business necessity and improve its tax deductabily potential. Something as big as sixty inches would satisfy both you and hubby.
I think I will buy a new flat screen TV with the money I saved by not going to the Rangers - Giants game. I deserve it, you know. (Isnt that the American logic for buying everything and anything?
Tickets were way too rich for my blood, too! To bad about the series. I was really rooting for the Rangers. It was exciting to see them. The Giants were pretty awesome, though. You have to give them that. Better luck next year for the Lonestar State.

FL guy -- yeah, my husband said he didn't think anybody knew how really good the Giants were (I think he meant the commentators).
OH well, so it goes. Maybe next year -- of course neither of these teams may have any pitchers after NY makes its move.
Back to rooting for the team of my childhood -- the Cleveland Indians. Go Indians!

Yep, even though in the end I hoped the Giants to prevail, I would have preferred a seven game series. Keeps the entertainment going longer.
Does Lincecum rock or what?
Wah! Why aren't I in the Bay area now, like I was for the last year???
Hurrah for the Giants!!!!!!
I didn't think the Giants would play that well and the Rangers play that not well. Josh Hamilton is a great player but a better story of overcoming stuff.
Sorry Rangers fans, maybe next time!!!
Gooooo Giants!!
"Yeah, I hear they pack them in pretty good in that stadium".
Yup, and the Giants won again FlGuy, 9-0!! Goooooooooo Giants!!
Really exciting for California. Oh and TX too I guess. lol
Yeah, I hear they pack them in pretty good in that stadium.
"Way too rich for my blood".
Absolutely! It's a shame the prices are so dang high! Standing room for $500 a ticket is a bit much! Too bad they don't have a sliding scale. lol
We'll see how the game goes tonight! Gooooo Giants!!
The Rangers looked pretty bad last night. I liked Lee's double (the pitcher) but his pitching missed the mark. Maybe tonight.
Hector -- those stands all looked packed. The prices are unbelievable aren't they. You can go to a game for a few hours for the cost of a really nice week or two week vacation. Oh well, not in my stars.
Update:
Last night at the first game of the series I heard that bleacher seats were going for $1,200! Also scalpers were still selling seats in the 3rd, 4th innings for close to there original before the game prices!
Way too rich for my blood.

Anyone watching this game? phenomenal!! Go Giants!!
We have been tracking prices on StubHub for Dallas and the prices were way out of range when we first looked ( about $900 around the third base line) but now it looks like we should have bought four of those tickets and sold two on StubHub at double the price and could have gone for free. Next time I will know.
But FL - you have got it right -- the couch and the TV sound darn good. In fact, we could buy one of those fancy flat screens with the money we are saving NOT going to the world series.
Where are all the Rangers fans????? GO TEXAS
frijole
Goooooo Giants!! Exciting time for all of California!! Oh and TX too I guess. lol
The best seat in the house is a seat in front of a Hi Def surrounded by bowls and bottles of your favorites. I've been to a few World Series games over the years and the experience is great. But, I prefer my own couch these days. At home you can have a six pack for the price of a single and at home you know the hot dogs have not been bouncing around on the floor. Stadium bathrooms ......
First game I saw as a kid was the Giants in NY.
Go Giants!
Prices for the playoff games here were insane. I can't imagine what they are gonna try to get for the Series tickets. Of course the way to do it is to hang out at AT&T Park and wait until the game has started. The longer you wait after the game has started the cheaper the cost of the tickets. During the playoffs You could get the tickets from a scalper for about the actual price of the ticket or cheaper somewhere into the first inning.
Go Giants!

I could care less about sports, until S.F. is winning.
Go Giants!!
