I am sure the next message is that the crown prince of the Grand Poohbah just needs a US bank account to stash millions of his of ?-gotten wealth, to protect it from the oppressive regime (his father's) in Lower Ecrookistan. Wait a minute, you've got a US bank account! I know what, you give me your bank account numbers and I will share the millions with you 50/50, Deal?  Maybe get a marriage in the deal, too.

I called for the prospectus but all I got was a dialtone. ;)

LOL....it looked like a tuna to me! Nope, it wasn't me...I don't have time to send emails or PM's like that. That salmon looked awfully handsome though!

these emails are common on any service such as this one where someone can easily register for free, then email a bunch of people, leaving their email address.  Even if reported, as you did, and therefore canceled, they've still already gotten their email address out to a lot of people and at least some small percentage may contact them at the other email address they gave.  The net result, for anyone choosing to email them at their private email, would have been that they wanted money from you.

You can tell this was written by someone from another country, most likely nigeria, as that is where most of these originate.  Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it.

Be careful on 2-14, there are supposed to be some bad viruses coming disguised as Valentines.

Hey this is really strange I went back to my messages to block the sender as Deb suggested.  IT"S GONE.

If I hadn't copied and posted it here I would be wondering if something weird might be going on with me.

Checked everywhere...GONE!  But where?

Well sfbaygirl, at least I know the message wasn't from you. You can't tell a tuna from a salmon.  :)

Sounds like a Russian trawler to me....going fishing.  You would at least have that in common.  ;->

I wouldn't concern yourself.  The same bait message probably went to a whole bunch more hoping to hook a "fish".

Just practice "catch and release".

This looks like spam to me,  pure mischief,

Did you block them in private message?  You can you know. Don't answer them,  or they can capture your email and know you read them,  surprised they got through med spam filters.

Then you will get rubbish on your private email.  Ignore it, delete them and you did the right thing reporting them.
