since getting fired

Since getting fired oh 2 weeks ago, I have been napping when I want, eating lunch etc. when I want, gardening, taking care of business around the house and enjoying living in Santa Fe, NM, it really is beautiful here.  I am planning to leave the area withing a few months, and if I dont think about the money I"m losing, this has been such a gift to spend the last part of treatment and my stay in Santa Fe in a relaxed way.  I do work once in a while on call, Massage therapy and facials.

mmmmm capers I love them, I'm even getting my subtle taste back, today I had an avocado that tasted like an avocado.  
I made tofu meatballs, they came out really good, soaking up that yummy tomato sauce.  Can you tell I've got my taste back?  I have also put back the pounds, but there's plenty of time to be skinny, right now I'm appreciating and not worrying,
Life is moment by moment.  the past is gone, the present is gone and the future does not exist where does that leave us,,,, who cares if I have a muffin top?
I'm so tired of trying to keep up.

I have not been on the internet but I keep tabs on you viva friends on the phone whom keep me informed "somewhat"  Wow you should be about done with tx! yea mary! I can relate to what you're going through. My husband lost his job and was unemployed for two years. I don't know how we did it. I was working full time while on treatment and was so scared that I would mess up and lose our health coverage. It turned out to be a blessing "in disguise" because my husband was able to cater to my lack of: appetite, energy, good humor, strength, etc. He took over all the house chores and made me appetizing food. All I had to do was drag myself to work and everything else was taken care of for me. I'm saying a prayer (hope you don't mind) for you to God to grant you strength and hope.

Thank you for the reply, I know it can be very hard to lose your job while going through tx.  I hope you can rest and take care of yourself.  As someone else said, when one door closes another opens.  Losing my job ended up being a good thing for me though I could not see it at the time.  I wish you the best

Fortunately, I do have some help, my 88 yr. old mom, who I try to help out as well.  
I have been contemplating following the renunciate path and this may be the world forcing me to do just that.  
I'm glad I will be finished with the treatment the end of next month and hopefully I will be healthier and have more energy.  
These drug trials can be so helpful for us to give us a second chance, and not to mention find easier treatments.
good luck with yours and I hope you find a solution to the itches,,, domeboro has helped me with hives, and of course colloidal oatmeal baths.

I'm sorry that this happened but I'm so glad that you can look at it as a gift.  As a door closes, others are opening before you.  I'm certain that you will get through.

I dont get it nygirl is that supposed to be some sarcastic response?  i dont understand if you cant relate or you think someone is being to trite dont respond.  Certainly if people can talk about their oral sex with their brothers sisters un.cle I certainly can comment what I'd like on the social side without sarcastic responses that just seem like others reaching out is so beneath you

Damn I have to go to the bank and then buy some milk and bread and check and see if my car tires are dirty or not. I work and I'm broke I don't know how unemployed people can make due but I figure if my son and I quit smoking that would be $6188 saved and maybe I wouldn't be so broke. Then I could afford the milk and bread and getting my car washed.

I would prefer to do massage and skin care for less money on my own to people who cant afford those high prices. Its such a challenge to not freak out, I dont have the energy anyway and it just doesn't do any good.  
sorry to hear about your loss Dee, the economy is such a mess right now, time to value what is really important.

things often work out in unexpected ways and for the best in the long run. wishing u the best- sounds as if u will find clients wherever u go but affluent areas may be better for business. treatment is easier for sure leading a more relaxing life and enjoying beautiful surroundings which will help boost your immunity. take care, babs
