Can I be active with a possible umbilical hernia?

I just noticed a "squishy" bump in my naval yesterday.  It does not cause me any pain or discomfort.  I obviously haven't been to the Dr yet since I just noticed it yesterday, but I have a tee time tomorrow.  Assuming it even is an umbilical hernia, can I still golf and be active?
