Could this be an abdominal hernia?

I had surgery 40 years ago on my left hand side, I also had a mini tummy tuck two years ago. For the last 6 months my stomach has become swollen like a basketball and distorted on my right hand side and often tight as a drum.  My Doctor did all of my blood work and an ultrasound, thankfully all came back OK. He thinks it may be an abdominal wall hernia, caused by my original surgery scar tissue.  I am waiting to see a plastic surgeon but does anyone have an opinion on this?
