Hiatus Hernia - symptoms question?

I was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia a couple of weeks ago.  Can those of you who also have a hiatus hernia,  tell me if you have symptoms with a hiatus hernia and what are they?  I do have symptoms at the moment but I have a few health issues going on at the same time and I just want to know if some (or all) of my symptoms relate to my hiatus hernia?  thanks

I apparently have had a "small" hiatal hernia for a  few years now. Had endoscopy in 2013 and was told I just had "a tiny widening in the esophagus that's very common and harmless."  Well, now I had a GERD attack at night that caused a lot of chest gas, and burping, and I have some laryngitis. Left it untreated for months, because I had palpitations and thought my heart was causing chest gas. I misled myself.

Took Zantac 150mg twice a day for a week, and am now on Pranpazole? ( spelling?) for 8 weeks via prescription.  Voice gradually healing but it's slow. I haven't had coffee in days, and am trying to elevate my head and chest area to make sure no reflux hits me in the night again. Time will tell. So far I've heard far worse from a lot of people here.

Hi , I had a hiatus hernia for 10 years and am in recovery from a repair ( key hole surgery ) to the hernia. Prior to the surgery I suffered with heart burn, waking up coughing acid reflux vomit, pain in my stomach ( over the diaphragm), bloating to the stage where I looked like I was 7 months pregnant, weight gain, wind and gave up alcohol, spicy foods and chocolate due to acid reflux. I ended up in emergency in hospital several times from internal bleeding ( they could never find the cause) and finally got to the stage where I vomited ( after I felt like I'd been punched in the stomach) black tarry  blood. I had also been suffering severe animia ( my heamoglobin had dropped to 4) due to the unfounded internal bleeding. My advice is to keep an eye on it. I managed it by taking Nexium 20 - 40mg over the years). But I never knew it could get to the stage it got to ! Good luck xxx
