I am a 26 year old male. About a month ago I had protected vaginal sex (twice in the same night) with a woman in her thirties. She was a commercial sex worker. From what she told me, she had not been doing this for long and was only doing it temporarily since she lost her job and got divorced. During our encounter she did start performing unprotected oral sex on me. However, I immediately asked her to put on a condom (on my penis) and oral sex after that was protected.
I have been tested for HSV-1 and HSV-2 earlier and both tests came back negative. My question is:
1. What are the chances of catching HSV-2 from such an encounter?
2. I have not observed any obvious symptoms since the exposure. However, I do have some itchiness on my outer thigh. Should this be a cause for concern?
3. Given the above information, should I go and get tested for any STDs (including herpes)?
Thanks.
