3 sores in pubic hair

About three days ago I had three slightly itchy raised red bumps appear in my pubic hair area midway between the base of my penis and my belly button.  I had had sex the night before.  One of them looked like it might be coming to a head.  I have a bad habit of picking at thigs and I squeezed all three of the bumps.  A small amount of clear liquid came out of two of them.  Now they look like pretty typical scabs with a red slightly inflamed area around them. They are about an inch apart
From each other.  They are right in the middle of my body in an area that experiences a good deal of friction in the missionary position.
I recently started sleeping with someone new, and had noticed some redness and irritation in the area after previous sexual encounters.  Those earlier rashes all cleared up without scabbing.  There havent been any bumps or sores kn my penis, scrotum etc.  just these three bumps.
We have had unprotected sex a number of times, and I'm worried about the possibility of herpes.  My question is:  what are the chances that these are herpes sores given that they are only present midway between my belly button and penis.  I can't recall ever having something similar to the outbreaks I've read about elsewhere.  Thanks for your help!

I meant "if you do" and she doesn't get tested...  You caught my drift. You're not slow.

I'm about to give you the best advice you're gonna receive all week:

Go to the girl and ask her to get tested for herpes 1 and 2 (separate tests, that's important).  If you don't and she doesn't get tested, ditch her.  Then publicly shame her.  In that order.

Then you need to test also.  There is a possibility that you could have been carrying genital herpes before you met her and the sex has been a trigger...  So, if you can confirm that SHE is negative and that YOU are negative, you can sleep easy - assuming neither of you has had sex with anyone else in the past 3 months.  Do this and you will save yourself weeks and weeks of "crotch-watch" self-torment.

You're welcome
