Are these signs typical of herpes?

I think I have a strange kind of herpes infection. I had diarrhoea and a mild burning sensation in my penis just 1 day after exposure. It's been 18 weeks now, the burning still persists. The diarrhoea lasted 4 weeks and had fever thereafter for about 9 days. I lost a lot of body fat but my weight was intact. 5 weeks after exposure, I started having this tingling, itching and body ache all over. It's not regular, it comes and goes. No other symptoms aside these one. I've not seen any lesions/sores yet.
2 weeks after exposure, I had a full STD profile and all results returned negative. Another full STD profile after 13 weeks returned positive for HSV igg (value 338), and this wasn't type specific. Nonetheless, I was given a 10 day course of Valacyclovir. The tingling and burning sensation still remains.
So, can I consider this as an outbreak?...or it's yet to happen? The medication didn't seem to work maybe I was diagnosed so late. I need advice on other alternatives on treatment.

Vhum!
