Bumps to Blisters?

How long does it take for the herpes bumps to turn into sores-is it a quick process? Would a single painless bump that appeared and stayed the same for a good week plus, then started looking bad be indicative of herpes or does the bump to sore process normally go faster than that. Never saw a blister.

Yes they really dont appear as herpes related but only testing would confirm this.

I am more meaning like would it be an unusual presentation from the first bump to come up, then sit unchanged for 8 days, then look more sore like (but no blister)  From what I read, normally the bumps quickly turn from bumps to sores/blisters and that it would be unusual for a week to go by before any changes occurred from the initial bump.
