Can hsv without outbreaks cause neurological and vestibular problems

No suppressive medication and I went over a decade without an outbreak. But i started getting dry eyes, floaters, vertigo, lightheadedness, back pain and weak legs… not all at once but in that order.. mri’s and ct are fine. Doctors have no idea what to do. I have heard that vestibular neuritis can be caused by HSV but how many more conditions can it cause. I am only mid 30’s!

No, herpes wouldn't cause this.

Herpes infects nerve groups. Genital herpes infects the sacral ganglia, and only affects the area that boxer shorts cover.

Oral herpes infects the trigeminal nerve. This affects the mouth, nerve and eyes. Vestibular neuritis affects the nerve of the inner ear called the vestibulocochlear nerve. They are separate things.

This says that different viruses can cause it, including the herpes family of viruses, including oral herpes, though I'm not sure how that would work (I'm no expert) - https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15227-vestibular-neuritis

Interestingly, there is some research into whether covid causes it - did you have covid?

It might be from the vaccine - https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34898387/

There are a lot of possibilities, obviously. Do you have oral herpes? Have you had covid? Any other recent viruses?

I have genital herpes but like i said rarely an inconvenience. I don’t believe I have ever had Covid, and I got one dose of vaccine but it was after my symptoms onset.  Sure the flu once or twice but those dont line up with the onser either. The only medication I was/am on right before the onset is anti-fungal ones for my toenail (fluconazole followed by two different topicals). Doctor doesnt think its a contraindication but Maybe i do have an intolerance internally?…
Fluconazole can cause dizziness, but I don't know about all of this.

Vestibular neuritis is thought to be caused by a virus - which one is unknown - https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15227-vestibular-neuritis

There are some pretty standard treatments, according to that article. Are they doing any of them? Maybe see a neurologist or an ENT?
