Can you get oral herpes after having oral sex?

I know abit of hard understand questions but I’ll expain it here.
4 months ago I received oral sex of a man i lately have been having an itchy vagina so suspected a yeast infection which cleared up with the creams and oral tablets. What I’m mainly trying to get at is, if the man performed oral sex onto my vagina and then I kissed him after ( literally straight after) oral sex would I produce oral herpes/ cold sores on my lips as obviously if passing onto my vagina i would get it on the lips wouldn’t I?
I don’t know why I’m asking this but I’m just been curious as I’ve been told if contacted genital herpes from oral sex and then had kissed straight after it wouldn’t spread to the lips
