Changing diaper with hsv
Hi last night my husband who has hsv2 had intercourse at around 11:00. We then fell asleep right after. Well then my daugther woke up at around 4 am and without thinking went and changed her diaper without washing my hands after touching my husbands shaft. Is there a risk to my daugther to contract hsv2? I did wipe her and I did touch her area and diaper. Please advise a little worried here she just turned 2. Thanks
The virus dies pretty quickly after leaving the body, except that it can live a few minutes in saliva and possibly other fluids. You're fine and your daughter's fine.
Hi, HSV2 is a sexually transmitted infection spread by direct genital contact not by what you describe.
