Could this be herpes or Yeast infection??

I had skin to skin sexual contact with my boyfriend back in mid July...probably between July 14- July 18. On Sunday night, September 23rd I experienced extreme vaginal itching around the opening, between my vaginal lips, and itching around the anus. This lasted a little over 24 hours.  The day before I had a bit of back pain. It was mainly the left side of my lower back that was sore.

The itching is now much less...and kind of feels dull. I experience pain only when I wipe a certain part of my vulva when I go to the bathroom. I’ve tried touching the same area with my hands but i don’t feel the same pain. It’s only when I wipe with toilet paper. I’m not sure if there’s a lesion in that area because I’m afraid to look. Today, September 25th I started feeling a tingling sensation that lasts for less than a minute and then goes away. Initially I thought I could have a yeast infection because I just finished a course of antibiotics. I also thought that maybe it could have been the probiotics I’m taking. I’m currently taking two different ones. One I take in the morning, the other I take about 3 of those at night. I’m not sure if that’s too much. At this point I’m afraid I could have herpes.

I know I sound all over the place with what I think this is but I really don’t know. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms?

The best thing you could do is go to an urgent care or doctor right away and have this area looked at. I understand being afraid but you have to get over this and be proactive and go to the doctor. Since you just finished up antibiotics, this could very well be a yeast infection! Since you haven’t had any sexual contact since July, my guess would be a yeast infection that is irritating the area. Go get it checked!

Anyone have any thoughts on this? I’m so anxious over this. I can’t eat or sleep because I’m afraid of what this may be.
