Did I contract Herpes/ STD's???

This is our exposure/ encounter in detail, with a girl who has a few weird marks/ spots on her face, and suspects her boyfriend has active sex partners beyond their relationship, but she trusts him so they don't wear protection. The only thing she told me was the doctor told her boyfriend a few months ago that he has urethritis. She also seemed a little sick recently, she told me it was a cold/ flu (I forgot which one) and also she had allergies (the type that has runny nose, etc). We had somewhat light and brief french kissing, and mutual licking of the tip of each others tounge multiple times, me fingering her with my middle finger, while my first finger had a very minor cut/ wound from the night before, it should of dried up by then, and I made an effort to keep that finger area away from the vagina with a strategic position when I fingered her with my middle finger, but who knows if some of the vagina fluid/ moist still got in as she was very wet, or when I first stuck my hand area inside the panties before removing the panties, the extreme moist and wet area, might of somewhat got all over my hand area, including the first finger, although I recall that being not too much. Everything else was protected, she gave me oral, I didn’t give her oral back. We had penis to vaginal intercourse which was also protected. And of course, various skin to skin contact moments, I also licked various parts of her body just like normal sex, but not any genital areas or anything, and the skin that I licked looked normal. Approx 12 hours later I had slight tingling sensation around the body, slight itching around the body, slight muscle ache in upper right back area. Next day I had some fatigue, very minor headache and dizzy/ puke feeling, and by night time, very minor sting feeling on the penis, more closer to the tip. Then next day I had very minor sting feeling on the penis, more closer to the tip.

What are my risks, do I need to get tested? Please give me great advices!

Thx!

No one wants to see someone else suffer, but when the risks of infection are low, and the test sometimes yields false positives, and then clarification is needed with a second test, I don't always advise testing.

I don't feel that you need testing, no, but it may help relieve your worry.

Hi Terri,

Thanks very much for your reply!!

Would you say I am safe/ my risk is low to the point that I shouldn't even worry or bother to go get tested??

Nick, I would agree that STD transmission in this situation is highly unlikely.  Your symptoms did show up very quickly after the encounter.  Gonorrhea can show up in a day, but you used a condom and so I'm not worried about that one.

Its so fine to ask these questions!

As for herpes transmission, since you posted here on this board:  condoms reduce the risk of herpes transmission by 30-50%, depending on the study that you read.  They aren't a perfect solution, but very very important to reduce the risk of herpes and hugely reduce the risk of other STDs like HIV, gonorrhea and chlamydia.

Using your hand for sexual stimulation of a partner is very very low risk.

You're doing a great job of practicing safer sex!  Keep it up.

Hey slacker101,

I really appreciate your reply!!

I just have a quick question... is it because STD's/ Herpes symptoms do not show up the next day, but I said it did for me, therefore you concluded I'm just fine and scaring myself?

Or is it because, my encounter itself was actually safe from any STD/ Herpes transmission, therefore you said I was fine?

Please kindly advise, sorry if I am asking too much but I am a real dummy/ beginner towards these things. If you don't mind providing any extra details/ info please don't hesitate..

Thanks again,
Nick

STD's do NOT show up the next day!!! This sounds like you are dwelling on this and it is causing you physical anguish. Forget about it and move on. You are fine,

PS: As for the puke feeling, I have had that for years, once in a while I will feel like coughing which leads to a quick moment of wanting to puke feeling, its nothing serious I've had it for years already, not sure if it was associated with the encounter, most likely not but I threw it in there anyways just in case its a type of symptom
