it's unfortunate you didn't find this forum long ago to get advice from. you've spent far too much time not having the answers you need to move forward :(
just repeat your herpes igg blood test and make sure it's type specific. I'll gladly help you with results so you have clear answers as to your status finally to move forward after so many years of being given erroneous advice from your providers .
Thank you all so much. My doctors told me to move on and live my life and I am trying . I really think a retest is needed but they don't feel I should since they think I am fine. I am so grateful for all I have and hope to move past this and enjoy my life. It's a struggle everyday all day.
Your anxiety about this certainly necessitates retesting!
Have you been asymptomatic all these years? If so, that combined with these scores would make a strong case for the original positive test being a false positive.
My doctor doesn't think I even should at all. I've been told to let it go but I have been going through a lot of post pregnancy pains and it has consumed me. Based on your knowledge of these scores do you think I am negative? Is it possible to have an outbreak so long after?
why don't you just repeat the tests one more time and go from there since it's been 10 years since your original testing?
Thanks for your reply. I believe 8 weeks nod then at 12 weeks. However a year before that I asked for the test and it was negative below 0.90. I got very sick with Epstein bar not too long after. I read all these crazy posts that yeast infection can be herpes, an itch can herpea, back pain, etc... What's your opinion? It's been ten years. Is it possible to all of a sudden get a primary outbreak after so many years? I read all these crazy posts that people are married for 25 years then boom a herpe sore. Also why did the words highly positive read right under the 1.10 and 1.07 igg hasv 2 score. What does that mean? It's been a long ten years. Some docs say I have it and one docs say I don't and to move on. I just don't know anymore. What's your opinion in the matter?
your original hsv2 igg was just barely positive and your 2nd was negative. I'm not sure why your provider told you otherwise.
how long after the encounter did you have the 2nd igg testing done?
grace
Can you give me your advice? You seem to know a lot about igg testing. It was done ten years ago. I have been living in fear for over a decade. It consumed my thoughts daily.
