Do I Have Herpes!?

Back In April I Tested Positive in a clinic For HSV 2 with a index number of 1.19

I got tested the same week i got my results back at my primary doctor and tested positive again with a index number of 1.21
And never had no symptoms

And my partner has no symptoms and we been together for a year

I went to plenty of doctors consulting about herpes .. some say i have it .. and some say i dont .. at this point i dont know what to believe.. and its been taking a toll on me

Do i have herpes?
Is it a false positive?
am i in the clear?
Can i spread it

I had a barely positive index score like you with no symptoms. My partner who I’ve been with for a year tested negative. I did the western blot to confirm, and unfortunately that was positive too. I would definitely recommend the blot to confirm.

There is a good chance that this is a false positive but you should get a confirmation test. The Western Blot at the University of Washington is the best there is. But first, your boyfriend should get tested to see his status and since it’s been since April, you should test again and see if your index score has changed.
You’ll be in the clear once you confirm your testing. Since the score was low and you’ve never had symptoms, there is a good chance of this being a false positive but don’t count on just not having symptoms yourself or you boyfriend not having symptoms. IgG test again and have him test. Take it from there.

Hi thank u for responding.. my girlfriend doesn’t trust getting tested because she was told not to if she has no symptoms. And if she does get tested and it comes back negative does it mean im in the clear?
If she is the only person you have ever had sex with, yes.
