Do I have herpes or impetigo?
So a few days ago me and my girlfriend of about 7 months went out for a night together and stayed in a hotel. I already had very swollen lymph nodes on my neck. I also had some small open cuts on my face from pimples that hadn't fully healed. I woke up with all the acne spots on my face red and very sore, throughout the day they got worse. The next couple days they were quite infected, I got some antibiotics that didn't seem to help (septra) then I began to produce small blisters on my face around some of the cuts. My eye also began to get infected and I had fevers and cold sweats, I'm now on new antibiotics, antibiotic cream and eye drops. I know this sounds like impetigo but now my girlfriend says she has swollen lymph nodes and a fever.
Get and I have been loyal for 7 months, but I know herpes can lay dormant in your body. She's had some troubles with painful intercourse the last few months and has had a Pap smear, and she is still waiting for the results. I'm curious if this break out of blisters on my face can somehow be a herpes flare up that came through open cuts on my face.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Hsv outbreaks that cover this much area are not common at all. You can go get the lesions swabbed and tested for hsv.
This sounds far more like impetigo than hsv as it's covering a wide area. I really hope you get some relief quickly. I feel for you!!

It's so hard to say without examination. Did they test any of the sores or blisters. If it is hsv it sounds more like a primary outbreak rather than a recurring one. So that would be strange especially if your partner is experiencing the same. I take it your Dr didn't suspect herpes?

No they were very quick during my examination, maybe 2 minutes. Just wrote me a quick prescription for antibiotics
My eye is now quite infected and I'm now getting blisters on my eyelid
