Do these bumps look like herpes? Doctor thinks it’s just irritation from shaving.

Had white discharge and thought I had a yeast infection so took montistat which came with vaginal cream. After I applied it it burned so bad I had to wash it off. Then i started noticing these bumps appearing on labia minors surrounding the opening. It doesn’t really itch my actual vagina opening itches more. This is my third day since I spotted them and they haven’t erupted or anything. I still have white discharge that has little creamy white dots in it.

Hi -

We don't look at pics here. We aren't doctors, and sure wouldn't disagree with a doctor who has actually examined you.

If your doc thinks shaving bumps, it's probably shaving bumps. Add the irritation from monistat (and doesn't that stuff BURN), and a yeast infection, and I'm sure you're quite irritated.

Ask your doctor for oral fluconazole. It's called different things in different countries - Diflucan in the US, canesten in Canada (and it's over the counter there), etc. Less mess, no burning, etc.
