Eye Herpes Test

Hi,
During my outbreak I touched my eyes which cause irritation along my eyes. I went to a general doctor today and he checked my retina and found nothing. If herpes is actually affecting my eyes, by when should I go again and check with my doctor? Since the itchiness and irritating feeling was on for just two days, should I wait for sometime before getting another appointment?
I wanted to be sure and get an opinion early on.

Thank you

Since you got checked by your doctor, would think all is clear for your eyes.  Try not to let anxiety make you imagine things.

Is this your first outbreak? If it isn't, you already have antibodies that protect you from autoinnoculation - infecting yourself somewhere else on your body. If you don't develop any more symptoms, I wouldn't worry at all.
