Focus immunoblot accuracy

Hi , sorry for any spelling mistakes , because english is not my native language.
A year ago i did hsv2 elisa test and got low positive result .
I retest after 4 weeks and again low positive ... the lab did not have any index result.
after two month i did home test igg for hsv2 ... orderd from ebay , and got negative result.
i retest again after 4 month from the first test with the same home test igg and negative result.
Unfotunatly i do not have access to western blot test in my country so ... last test was made in a private lab ,
focus immunoblot hsv 1 & 2 after 5 month from the first test and the result was negative for hsv 2.
can i trust the last test ?
I have a new relationship and i dont know 100% that i am hsv2 negative .
Thank you for you help.

I don't know about the accuracy of a test ordered off ebay, but you've had 3 negative results following your low positives, including the Immunoblot. I'd trust that.

How low was your low positive? Do you know?

Hi AuntieJessie,
First i want to thank you for your replay :-)
Unfortunatly the first test don't have any index , only "Low Positive".
I tried to get the index from the lab but no success , These tests performed by State health service so cannot get any details.

That's okay - at least it said low positive, giving you that indicator.

Why did you test the first time? Have you ever had symptoms?

If you've never had symptoms, and you've had the 3 negative tests, I'd be fine thinking the first ones were just false positives.
It was routine std test panel,
I had no symptoms the doctors here are not aware for the false positive rate of hsv igg  tests.
And include them in std panel .
I know now that testing cause more harm then good if you dont have any symptoms.
Do you think i should move on with my life and ignore the initial low positive ?

If I were you, I'd move on and forget the low positives. :)
Thank you auntiejessi :-)
