we don't have any accurate herpes blood tests in the US for children of that age. it should've actually never been drawn on her. I fthey suspected a primary oral herpes infection, a lesion culture of actual symptoms would've been more appropriate but since she had none, odds are this isn't herpes going on.
so what do you do now? well all we would do at her age is treat her symptoms anyways for almost anything this would be. tylenol for pain and encourage her to drink. should she get an obvious cold sore somewhere down the road, you'd have a better answer. Otherwise, no reason for any further herpes blood testing until she's much older and starting to be sexually active and needs to know her status in order to take precautions with a partner ( you know, when she's like 25...he he he ).
hope that helps!
She's 2. BTW I didn't find any lesions intraorally...She just complained about severe pain and had fever for 3 days.
the herpes igm is a greatly flawed test and we never recommend it.
how old is your daughter?
