HSV 2 IgM Positive Result
Ive recently taken a blood tests for all STDs which included HSVs 1 and 2.
I tested Negative for (IgG) HSV 1 and 2 as well as (IgM) HSV 1. Although, I got positive for (IgM) HSV 2 with a score of 31.000 and the cut-off is 20. I would like to know if I actually got Herpes or is this a false positive score? Ive also researched that the true positive score is a 70. Its been over 2 months now since any sexual contact and still no signs or symptoms of Herpes.

Igm testing should not be given for hsv. First off it can't really differentiate between hsv1 and hsv2. Second it's wrought with false positives. Disregard the igm results. It is a useless test that should not be given. Even the CDC is against igm testing for hsv.
