HSV QUESTIONS

Dear Doctor,
I had protected sex 2 months ago and the CD slipped unfortunately during withdrawal and fall on the ladies thighs.  6 weeks later I did  STDs test and all were negative but I turned out to be HSV 1 antibody positive with the value of 3.75. I didn't had any outbreaks but little itching on my genital and small circle red skin on the peak of my penis.  My doctor told me this is nothing to worry about.  I also did PCR HSV test and it turned to be negative.

Following are my questions:

1)  how likely is for  one to contract HSV 1 like in my scenario ? Can hsv 1 be passed through vagina sex ?

2)  what does negative HSV PCR and positive antibody mean.

3 ) can I continue having my family life like having sex with partner, kissing kids at.... My doctor told to continue and forget about herpes or I did test?

4 ) If one was to choose between the two Herpes 1 & 2 which one could be better?

5 ) is there any cure or vaccine coming in the near or long future.

6 ) 8 weeks past the incident now and I didn't had any outbreaks or signs .... should I expect them or worse in future?.

7 ) are there any herbal medicine that can flash out the HSV virus as claimed by many doctors and website  such as the herpes blitz protocol?

Thank you for all your time and support in advance.

Best,
Mohamed

Oh I'm sorry. The PCR blood test actually looks for herpes virus DNA in the blood. That it didn't find any could be a false negative, or did it only test for hsv2? Can you get the results of that?

Thanks it was HSV - DNA ( 1 & 2 ) detection qualitative  = NEGATIVE.

I also heard that this was useless as the herpes can't be seen directly in the blood and it's rather in the skin ! Not sure please  help me understand this more?

Did your partner perform oral sex on you? It's POSSIBLE that if she had genital hsv1, she could have transmitted it to you via vaginal sex, but it's pretty unlikely.

2)  what does negative HSV PCR and positive antibody mean.

It means they did a PCR swab test on you to look for the virus on your skin. This is a very sensitive test, and that it was negative is a really good sign.

3 ) can I continue having my family life like having sex with partner, kissing kids at.... My doctor told to continue and forget about herpes or I did test?

Yes, you can do all those things. If you ever get any oral symptoms, you should avoid kissing anyone or performing oral sex while you have those symptoms. Definitely don't share drinks or utensils, but that's good life advice for everyone, since tons of things are transmitted this way.

4 ) If one was to choose between the two Herpes 1 & 2 which one could be better?

They are different - one isn't better or worse, just different, and it depends on the location.

5 ) is there any cure or vaccine coming in the near or long future.

No, not likely.

6 ) 8 weeks past the incident now and I didn't had any outbreaks or signs .... should I expect them or worse in future?.

I'm not convinced you have this genitally since your PCR swab was negative and it sounds like all you did was have vaginal sex. It sounds like this was a pre-existing hsv1 infection you didn't know you had.

7 ) are there any herbal medicine that can flash out the HSV virus as claimed by many doctors and website  such as the herpes blitz protocol?

Nope. Nothing flushes the virus out, or cures it. Anything that promises to do that is a scam and you will spend your money for nothing.

Thanks Auntie The PCR was blood not swap.  I didn't had any lessions or other signs except redish skin on the fore of my penis
