HSV1 and HSV2 by Hand Touch

Thank you for your great support and professionalism for those people who are conceded with hvs 1 and hvs2.  My question is about the infection by hvs2.  I went to a bar and met a female who touched my private area (the head of my penis) with her hands for 20 mins in the bar.  I touched her private part on her underwear so that I didn’t touch her private area directly.  However, I touched her private area hairs.  We didn't do anything else.  I went to a men’s bathroom and released myself with my hands.  I thought that everything was ok, but after 5 days, I have got a red color rash on the head of my penis.  It doesn't hurt at all and the size is small. The shape is irregular.  It hasn't blistered for 7 days.  It is not raised. There has been no change on the red rash since 7 days ago.  I tried anti-fungal cream for 4 days.  It doesn't work at all and I put antibiotics cream for 4 days.  It doesn't work.  Now I am assuming that it has something to do with hvs2 or hvs1.  Is my assumption reasonable?  I have already got cold sore (hvs1) since my childhood.  Is still possible that hvs1 can infect my private area? Maybe she had hvs1 virus on her hands when she touched me.  Or does hvs2 infect me?  Your answer will be gratefully appreciated.  Thank you so much for your support!

My symptom is still existing.  It has got worsen. It has been almost a month for me to have these symptom.  Rash all over places on the head of my penis.  Sometimes, it is itchy sometimes, rash on the tip of penis has throbbing pain at night time.  I saw a doctor at a local clinic who proscribed anti-fungal medicine.  It didn't work and got worsen.  The doctor thinks that I have herpes (HSV2) even though we can't see any blisters on the head of my penis and even though I didn't have direct sexual contact.  The doctor thinks that I have had herpes (HSV2) and it activates with symptoms now. She ordered a lab order for STD.   I disagree with her because I didn't have any direct sexual contact.  I believe that the rash has something to do with bacteria.  The doctor thinks that we have to rule out the bacteria because I don't have any fever.  The doctor refused to provide me antibiotic medicine.  She prescribed Valtrex instead of antibiotic.  What do you think?   Please help me out!

Thank you for your comments.  However, I still have the rash on the head of my penis.  It doesn't go away.  It is not painful at all.  I am afraid of seeing a doctor.  I have tried to put anti fungal and anti biotic cream on it.   It doesn't work.  I don't know what to do.  The first rash disappeared but as soon as the first rash disappeared, I have got the second one.

You don't have herpes! Thats the best news you will hear all year! Now go back to normal.  :) You cannot get herpes on your penis from her touching it. She would have to have had active lesions on her hand to give you herpes.

Do you means that there will be no chance that hsv2 symtom appears back to back on the head of my penis?  As soon as one rash disappeared and another one rash appears.  It was not located on the tip of penis. It moved from left side of penis head to the right side of penis head.

Sometimes taking certain meds can cause red penis tip spots. i got them once from taking high blood pressure meds and the derm told me that for some reason the penis tip is senitive to this due to the amount of blood that ends up there and the meds are in the blood.

Thank you for your knowledgeable answer. I appreciate it. However, I have been using anti fungal cream for 7 days and the original red spot is diminishing. But another small rash appeared 1 cm apart from the original rash. I don't understand it. Do you think that the rash is related with fungal? Please help me out.

Thank you!

Hi, her touching your penis would not contract herpes. And you touching her underwear is no risk for any std. The red mark may be fungal or an irritation from the 20minuts of her touching but is not related to any std.
