Possible herpes?

About 9 days ago, I had unprotected sex with someone who claimed they were disease free.  After the deed was done, I kind of freaked out and showered and then (like an idiot) applied hand sanitizer to my penis.  It did hit the urethral opening and got a little in the urethra and burned like crazy.  The next day, the head of my penis felt irritated and has continued to feel irritated ever sense - the urethral opening is red but seems to be slowly recuperating.

However, when I open my urethra, I see what appears to be a spot on one side right below the urethra opening and an area across from it which corresponds to it.  It doesn't look like an ulcerated blister to me and isn't red and inflamed, but is whitish in color and blends in fairly well with the surrounding tissue - you can tell it is raised a bit.  When I urinate, I don't feel a burning sensation and haven't the entire 9 days.  I have not seen any sort of discharge from my penis or that spot.  I don't have any blisters elsewhere on my penis though one odd thing is that it feels clammy and if often damp with what I believe is smegma when I pull the foreskin back, though this seems to be also improving.  There really isn't an odor to it either.  Also, I do have a sore throat and a headache, but to be fair, that started coming on BEFORE the encounter and I've been around people with similar symptoms the entire time so I can't be sure if I caught a flu from them or if it is part of the symptoms.  Throat is yellowish I color with no raised bumps that I can see.

Thoughts?  I submitted a urine sample for a gonorrhea and chlamydia test yesterday and should have results today or tomorrow.  I'm going to go ahead and have blood work done for the fast RNA HIV test Monday and will do the blood work for syphilis and HSV 2 once the windows passes (which is 4-6 weeks IIRC).  Could what I'm seeing be the result of hand sanitizer or am I in trouble and it looks like herpes?  :(

Some updates:
1. HIV RNA test was negative.  Woo hoo!
2. Still have an anal rash (can't see blisters, but didn't look deep - Planned Parenthood did last week and didn't see any).
3. Penis shows no visible blisters but is a little red and is still "damp," likely with smegma being produced at a high rate.  Not sure what the cause might be.
4. Still have a sore throat and noticed a blister on my uvulva this morning.

Going to the doctor on Thursday to have him take a look.  It is going to be hard, as discretion is a must....

IndyGuy, it appears that some of your symptoms may be psychologically manifesting the sensations in your urethra along with the urge to constantly urinate.  I am a microbiologist with access to many medical journals.  I have found that if you are feeling the sensation in the urethra, you will most like experience the other common symptoms associated with an HSV outbreak; fever, enlarged lymph nodes, redness around the affected area.  Interested in your results, so please keep us updated.

This is very common and I haven't had anyone test positive with these symptoms alone.

I still highly doubt hsv as these are not symptoms of hsv. The virus sublimely doesn't actually this way.

So, my penis is still a little irritated on the tip (no visible lesions) and still feels a bit clammy and is often moist with smegma.  I have a frequent urge to urinate, though there is no discharge or pain when urinating.  Clearly something is amiss IMO, and after nearly 2 full weeks I don't think hand sanitizer is the culprit.   My fear has been renewed that this might be herpes.  Thoughts?  I am still a few weeks away from being able to do an initial blood screen.

Your irritation was clearly from the hand sanitizer. Herpes lesions would not appear the day after infection.
Jtown is correct in the odds for a single exposure are very low.
Flu like symptoms for genital hsv is not like a cold with a sore throat. Lesions with fever, body aches and swollen lymph nodes of the groin area.

Thanks guys.  I seem to be doing much better and my tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and trich came back negative too.  I'll get tested for HSV2, hep, etc. once the windows have passed.

Man doubt you have herpes. From a one time things is so low. I got it from an old girlfriend but man it took like 6 months of bangin like everyday. If you have chlymedia or something, its really not a huge deal, just take some antibiotics and your good. I understand why your worried tho man, ive got the same anxiety from the same thing. Cept mine is a read penis rash. Don’t sweat it man, worrying aint gonna do anything. HIV from a normal chick on a one time encounter, probably 1 in a million. Don’t sweat it

Also, I forgot to mention - outside of this single incident, I've been monogamous the past 10 years.
