Herpes, or just a friction blister!? Confused and upset...

I am a 22 yr old female, I get tested every 6 months thru my gyno, and i havent had unprotected sex in over a year. Basically i have been dating a guy for a few months now, we got intimate last week, and used a condom of course. He was larger then i was used to and during sex i felt a stretch from the condom brushing against me and grabbing my skin down there, probably from not being as lubricated as i should have been. Sorry for the T.M.I., i just need an honest opinion. The next day i got up and noticed a sore in the same spot, it has been a few days and has now turned into a blister. I went to the gyno today to see if i could put anything on it to help. Well she immediatley told me it looks like it could be a herpes bump, and did a swab test for it which i will ge the results in a few days. My gyno is always very quick to jump to conclusions and she freaked me out which led to me coming home in tears and searching everything on the internet. Nothing is adding up though. I only have ONE blister, and in the exact same spot i felt sore right after sex. I havent had sex period in over 6 months, if i would have had contracted herpes back then, why didnt it show up in my STD blood test i took last month!? Also i have never heard of a case where you have protected sex with your boyfriend ONE time and the next morning you wake up with a herpes blister!? Does any of this sound right to you!? Please give me your feed back... Thank you so much.

i was reading your post on another topic, and you seem very insightful. I cant seem to get a straight answer anywhere, and i suppose maybe there isnt one but what i am really curios about is.....

i haven't had unprotected sex in WELL over a year, i am on birth control and always use condoms as well, i also get tested every 6 months as i said earlier. I have only been with 2 guys in the past year. So, i did a blood test on March 27, 2009 and it came back negative for both herpes simplex 1 & 2, and havent had sex since then, minus the one time last week i told you about above.... now that i have this blister on my labia, my gyno is saying may be herpes, which i still hope it is not.

From what i understand, after initial exposure to herpes it can take at the maximum 16 weeks to build up antibodies, which in turn means i could have contracted it 2 months ago and it just didnt show up in the blood test yet... correct?

What is the actual chance of me being infected with the use of condoms with in the past 4 months and i have only had sex maybe 6 times in that time period?

and is the virus ONLY contagious when the male has outbreaks because my ex never had any, well that he or i noticed...?

sry for all the complicated questions.
my gyno just really isnt being to helpful at all.

Wait for the culture results. No use getting bent out of shape now. Just go for a run or something to take your mind off it. Or go volunteer at a homeless shelter. You're spinning your wheels just getting anxious about it. It's only a 2 day wait.
