Need help! Staph or Herpes?

Hello everyone,

Before i seek advice on this, please ignore my previous posts from 2011 as at the time   these symptoms indeed turned out to be a yeast infection and the symptoms i am now writing about are completely different.

Anyway, here is my rather inconclusive and complicated story.

In 2008, i had unprotected sex (was very very brief) with a girl who claimed afterwards that she had herpes. I did not think anything of it as i never knew much about the condition and displayed zero symptoms.

Around 3years later, i recieved unprotected oral sex and the girl then phoned me a week later to say she had a cold sore on her lips- her first ever one at the age of 35. That then made me think.

Anyway, afterwards i had a few sexual encounters (one was unprotected full sex with all encounters having unprotected oral).  This is when it gets bizarre...

One morning in 2014 after being up all night partying (alcohol and cocaine involved) i woke up in bed with two sores on my uretha (entrance of the penis opening). These were symmetrical either side of the opening and the pain was instantly excruciating when touching or passing urine. The pain got worse over a few days and thus i went to see a gyno 5 days later. 2 of them then visibly diagnosed the sores (which had fluid) as herpes. I was given valtrex and had a swab taken. I had never had any synonyms like this before. The gyno's exact words were " we need to swab the sore to make sure it is herpes".

To my surprise, a week later i got my results and the swab came back negative. Wow i was shocked but relieved. Symptoms then disappeared after a week but the fluid did NOT crust but rather wiped off leaving the fanitest of matks. However i was never convinced of my diagnosis and out of chance, i noticed one day that swabs can provide false negatives. That was it my anxiety all came back and i haven't slept well since. I have been completely avoiding relationships since. On the plus side i haven't shown symptoms since that day so one potential outbreak in 3 years.

I decided enough was enough so went to the clinic for a full checkup and requested a blood test as i wasnt convinced that my swab in 2014 was accurate.

My gyno took blood and gave me the hotline to phone. I called it two weeks later and there was not an option for hsv blood tests results(despite every other std showing negative results)

I then called the results line to ask why my bloods had not been tested for only to be told " we do not do blood tests for herpes". I was furious as that previous appt was then rendered a waste of time. I was then told that a nurse could chat to me on the phone about my results from 2014.

I then received a call from the nurse who explained that my swab was negative and not to worry as loads of fluid was present for that result to be accurate. I explained to her the 'false negative' concept and asked for a blood test but after an hour arguing she repeatedly said 'we do not do that but rather you have to wait untl symptoms arise!' Unbelievable i thought. So i am just expected to live my life with this uncertainty looming over me and give it to some poor girl. HOWEVER here comes the best part.... they said the swab picked up a 'staph infection'. Hence i am now wondering "was that the cause all along?"  I am furious that the nhs never told me this before!! I only found out due to my own paranoia. Furthermore, i was wondering if the nurse lied to get me off the fault as I repeatedly requested a blood test.

So here am i now still paranoid, unsure, etc.

Now guys i want to ask:
(1) your intake on my bizarre scenario. If it was an outbreak, 1 in 3 years seems lucky hence im thinking type 1?
(2) can staph infections cause painful sores/urination on penis?  I also have genital psoriasis but doubt that would cause pain.
(3) can herpes be passed onto the lips via the genitals?
(4) do i keep avoiding relationships? -lets be honest protected sex will never be protected if i got married for instance. I am paranoid about getting a girl pregnant and then she gets herpes and the baby dies/has defects. Knowing my luck that would happen.
(5) are blood tests accurate and why are they only done privately?
(6) is type 1 easily transmissible?
(7) what causes sores on penis apart from herpes?
(8) would testing within 5 days with fluid be accurate?

I am really worried and sucidal about all of this. Its affected my future. The nhs in uk are extremely inconsiderate about not doing blood tests and they are meant to be promoting safe sex!! How can i just 'wait for symptoms' that is just wrong and sod's law i would pass it on.  I feel like going to the press.

Please help.
