Scared I may have herpes after a threesome.

My husband and I recently had a threesome with my friend. I realize that was huge mistake that never should have happened but anyway my husband and I have been together for 10 years and both have been totally faithful. We just wanted to try something different so we did. The first encounter happened the first of September, the second time was the last of September and the 3rd and last time was Oct 20th which was only a little over a week ago. My husband and I had sex together on Oct 22nd. I thought during that time that I may have scratched myself with my fingernail, its in the area above and off to the side from my urethral opening. I looked the next day on the 23rd and it looked like a very small cut. The next day it seemed to turn into a little white ulcer and I was thinking it is where it is moist there. I also kind of thought it may be a yeast infection because it did feel like it at first, I have those every now and then. We are very clean people and so is my friend, she also is in a new relationship with a guy that I am not sure what kind of sex life he has had in the past. Before this new guy she was married for about 12 years.  I am 45 yrs old and have always been clean and have never been one to sleep around because I have been so afraid of catching something. I should have known better. What do you think the chances are that this could be herpes? I ordered a swab test kit online and it should arrive tomorrow. I think it may be to late to swab and get an accurate result. I still think it was from my fingernail but in the back of my mind, I have my doubts only because of what we have done. Please help!

I don't want to sound blunt and rude, but your post is vague and lacks the necessary details one would need to make any meaningful assessment. I'm not sure what you mean by "clean". Clean people get infected with herpes all the time.

Most importantly:

1. Did your husband use a condom and exchange it for a new one when alternating sex partners?
2. Have you and your husband had an IgG test done for hsv1 and hsv2 and what were the results?
3. Do you know if either of you or your 3rd party have oral herpes and was there oral sex involved?
4. I don't know how much confidence I would place on an "at-home" swab test. If you get more symptoms, rush to an urgent care and have them swab and perform, preferably a PCR test, or culture test.
5. Do you know the 3rd party's and the boyfriend's hsv status, yet?

Please provide this information.
