That doesn't change my answer.
I saw your other question - let's keep it all in the same thread so it doesn't get confusing.
"Hello again.. Results indicate I have a swollen lower inguinal lymph. I received test results for hsv1 hsv2 and hiv.. 31 days after possible exposure. All negative with the standard reporting of less than 0.91 I plan on having some pcr work done today on a couple of blisters... I also will retest at 60 days. Any thoughts on my results who have experience with this blog?"
While you were at risk for HIV with unprotected sex, one swollen lymph node at 33 days is not a symptom of anything. Do you know what kind of testing you had done for HIV?
Hi there -
None of us are doctors on this site.
The answer you got from Life360 hasn't changed - herpes sores wouldn't show up that fast, so this is unlikely to be herpes.
If you had swollen lymph nodes from any viral illness, you wouldn't just have one.
PCR testing is very reliable, and blood testing at 30 days is fairly reliable, but none of this is likely to be herpes.
IF you do have herpes (and it doesn't seem like you do), the only way you'd give it to your son is inappropriate contact. Don't do that, and he'll be fine. (Note - in theory, you may transmit this by sharing damp towels, but you shouldn't share towels anyway. If you have oral herpes, don't share drinks, utensils, etc., which is never a good idea to start with.)
