Herpes Symptoms

Good morning Aunt Jessie,  As it has been described by some.. I had what it appeared to be an outbreak very similar to some of your other recent members.  A small vumb with a cut.  I remember waking to a scab a couple days later. One week following the cut resurfaced. I had it swabbed but the sample was very small.. Swab was negative.  I tried to have pcr but there was not enough sample.  The discoloration is still there after almost 4 weeks from when it first appeared.  I was tested at 4 and 7 weeks with hsv1 hsv2 and hiv all still showing a negative result.. Woulnt my body have produced antibodies by now since I may have had an outbreak almost 4 weeks ago?  Please check my sanity.  I have also have had swollen lymph nodes and glands in both the neck and groin area in this time frame?

Hi testing at 7 weeks post exposure a low positive should have appeared as 8 weeks is a good indicator, swabs are only good for showing a positive as can miss it with the test but it would appear from what you describe you did not have an outbreak based on being negative at 7 weeks.

Aunt Jessie, Thanks for the quick response.. You are giving me hope... My dermatologist is perplexed of what the scar tissue and discoloration is... I am retesting in four weeks and I will let the forum know... You spoke to someone in previous posts that had a an outbreak on the lips with a similar description as mine... Which is why I ask.  Thanks again.
I am sorry life 360
