Herpes/gential warts

I have been with my boyfriend for a year and we just broke up in january. He just text me and Thank me for giving him herpes! I have never attracted any disease in my life! so I need to get tested, but i don't have any symptoms, what test do i take to confirm if i have herpes or not? because i don't have any signs of it. Oh yeah the last time i had sex with him was in january. should i have symptoms by now?

This is my 2 cents...I do not know this guy, but he may not even have herpes.  It could be that he was just being a jerk and messing with you.  I just do not understand why he would just text you and not call and talk to you.  And unless he was a absolute virgin before you, how could he prove that you gave it to him anyway?

On the other hand, it could be that he does have herpes and is too scared or upset to talk to you.  You should talk to him about it and find out for sure.

How does he know he didn't have it before he was with you? It's quite possible, and also possible he gave it to you. I hope you go get tested soon to find out your own status.

You may have had it without having symptoms, or may have got it from him without having symptoms. No way to know for sure without a test.

If the last time you were with him was January, it's been beyond 12 weeks since then, so I think you can go get a reliable blood test (IgG) to find out at this point.

Good luck and let us know the outcome.
