Herpes in area outside of contraction area?

Hi,

A few months ago I had unprotected oral sex from a girl I met at a club in Japan. After 3 weeks, I had no sores, or general malaise.  I got blood test and had an exam. I tested negative for both types of herpes. Now, 4 months later, I have developed 2 sores between my testicles and my leg. It is ~1cm long, and looks like a cut. It is not itchy. I have not had any sexual encounters except a HJ since.

My questions are:

1. What are the probabilities of having a recurrent infection worst than the first?
2. Are herpes infections symetric? (e.g. if I had a sore on one half of my body, would I have it on the other?)
3. Are herpes infections always itchy?
4. Would infection affect the point of entry? I read that it rarely effects pubic-hair areas in men since it must be "massaged" into the skin.

Thankyou.

A visual exam goes a long way. This could be herpes but it's more likely not to be. Go and be seen and have it checked out.

Look for low cost/free clinics in your area.

No - not yet. I don't have medical insurance  - so a test can run in the hundreds of dollars - which I can't really afford.

Have you seen your provider yet to have this looked at?
