I had unprotected sex with a male 11 weeks ago, I do not know his status on STD's. Two weeks after sex I experienced two cuts on the top of my clitoris where the skin begins to fold and very itching and lots of discharge. My doctor tested me for everything, and my Herpes (HPV) result came back IGG: Negative and IGM: 1.03 Equivocal. Of course I freaked out, and he said to test again later. The cuts healed, the itching stopped, and the discharge went back to normal.
At 8 weeks past unprotected sex I tested for Herpes again, and my results came back: IGG: 0.02 NEGATIVE and IGM: 1.37 Positive, but under the 3.5 mark, so a LOW positive. With no other symptoms since the first one (at 2 weeks) my doctor said that I do not have Herpes, he said at 8 weeks my IGG test results should show up, OR at least be higher than 0.02, he said at 8 weeks I should at least be in the Equivocal zone. I was concerned about the rise in IGM test from 1.03 to 1.37, and he said since it wasn't over the 3.5 mark and IGM test are not reliable that I should only be looking at the IGG test results. He advised me to not worry about it and did not request for me to take another blood test.
Now, at 11 weeks (since unprotected sex) I noticed a vaginal ulcer at the bottom of my vagina opening. It does NOT hurt or burn or itch (even when going to the bathroom), I honestly wouldn't of noticed it unless I looked down there. Two days before this "ulcer" appeared I experienced more than normal discharge (only other symptom). I am now concerned and do not know what to think. If it's not herpes, what could it be? Could my test be a false negative? I am going to the doctor again this week and going to request for another blood test (I know this now needs to be done). BUT, any help/ personal experience/advice/thoughts would really help.
Please, I'd really appreciate it, it's been a very confusing and difficult 11 weeks....
The 3 month test will be conclusive. Genital herpes is most often painful by the way. I dont think its herpes as even at 2 months you might have showed a low positive.
