Herpes or friction blisters??

Me and my boyfriend had intercourse last week and I was a little sore down there. I figured it was just because it was dry. The next day we had intercourse and I was pretty sore again but i didn't think anything of it. I just figured dry rough sex would make me sore and burn. We didn't have intercourse for a day or two to see if the pain would go away and it did. When we had sex that night, I had the same feeling of burning and soreness on my left side of my vagina. The day after, i had blisters on that side. Is this herpes or just friction blisters from having rough dry sex everyday? I'm going to get checked either way but super worried!

It could be herpes, but it could also be a yeast infection or just irritation from having dry, rough sex.

It's been a week-ish with these blisters? You really need to get this checked. They may not be able to get a culture now (there's a very limited window in which do to so), but ask for a type specific PCR swab, which is more sensitive than a regular culture. Go today. If you have to, go to an urgent care.

If you're going to have rough sex, get some lube. If you use condoms, then use a water-based lube, like KY jelly. Oil-based lubes destroy condoms.

Let us know what happens.

Also want to add I wasn't having any pain or burning at all before we had sex. And it doesn't itch at all.
