Herpes or pimples?

Greetings. I am a male who has recently been getting what looks like pimples in my pubic hair area. I do not shave my pubic hair. I first noticed one bump that looked like a pimple. I popped it. Then about a week or 2 later another bump showed up maybe an inch or two above the last bump. I popped that one as well. Then another bump showed up a little above that one a couple weeks later. So three bumps showed up in a straight line above each other. And now another one has just shown up a little to right of the highest bump. At first I thought it was just pimples but I just don’t know why they keep showing up? Any help would appreciated. Thanks!

It doesn't sound like herpes - it wouldn't likely be that linear.

Even if you don't shave, you can still get infected hair follicles. Stop popping them, which could be making this spread, and let a doctor check it out. If it's an infection, you may need an antibiotic.

It might be molluscum. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/molluscum-contagiosum/symptoms-causes/syc-20375226

Either way, since you are getting new spots, let a doctor see it. It could be as simple as pimples, or an overgrowth of staph on your skin, but let a doctor determine that.
