What are the chances?

Hey all-

Last night, a girl and I were naked in bed, making out.  She said she's been tested for everything and cleared (but I hate how HSV is not included on most tests).  I didn't notice any sores on her and while we were rolling around, I never humped her genital to genital and I fingered her/she gave me a hand job.  Our genitals might have touched but never for long or in a forceful way.

We took a shower and stood facing each other too, touching ourselves a bit down there as well when doing so.

What are my chances of contracting HSV2 from this?  I just really hate how this disease works and I'm like afraid to do anything now (especially after last night).  Thank you.

Members here are not able to analyze every sensation you experience and determine whether it relates to Herpes or not.  You were advised that you had a very low to non-existent risk.  If you remain concerned, please test at the appropriate time.

Anybody?

1) I have a burning sensation on the left side of penis shaft (I've pulled the skin on the penile shaft many times and wondering if this has only worsened it and twisted my penis all around to see if there's something there), but no sores, possibly a tad red.
2) Somewhat sore, more congested throat.
3) Pain in the groin area (sometimes sore from in between scrotum to thigh)
4) Head of penis is VERY sore after masturbating/sometimes peeing
5) Sometimes urge to urinate
6) Sometimes burning/stinging sensation on and off around penis head/in penis head
7) Small cut under urethra - slight red diagonal slash right above the nerve extending to scrotum

These started up two days ago (6 days after exposure) and wondering if these are signs of first outbreak or my possible own doing.  Thank you.

Also my groin area on left side (between groin and thigh) is sore sometimes and my penis sometimes feels achy/tender after masturbating and may sting for a brief moment here and there...mostly after I urinate.

Thank you.

Also, I took a look at it again.

It doesn't look like a sore necessarily, but it looks like a tiny tiny crater, but no broken skin it seems like.  Just an indent.  I'm not sure if me stretching the skin is doing any favors...

I rubbed some rubbing alcohol on it and it felt warm, not a stinging feeling like you would get on a cut...not sure if that matters with HSV2.

Thanks.

Thanks, Life.

It was 6 days after exposure and the left side of my shaft seemed to itch a tad/slight rugburn feel.  This has continued on and off for the past day or so.

No raised bumps, it looks a bit whitish in the area (chalky colored).  I keep spreading the skin around there to see if anything is raised, but nothing as of yet.  I also have a sore throat, but no swollen lymph nodes from what I can tell.

Does this sound like a first out break?  Thanks.

Whitlow are open finger sores that are very very painful. To painful to pop and are not hard.

Can you describe herpetic whitlow?  I have these tiny hard bumps running down my index finger that I began to notice yesterday. Tried popping but they are hard and not really formed or anything so nothing comes out.

No itching or pain either. Thanks.

Also last night (after day and half of exposure) I started to get not really a sore throat, but congested a tad and it's still like that today.

My penis also sometimes feels a bit sore, slight itch, but this could also be me just thinking I have something.  She gave me hand jobs that really hurt (were rough) so maybe this is still the repercussions of that?

Thanks!

I guess I just don't know how it all works.

I pressed up against her, facing her.  She's tiny compared to me but my penis definitely touched what was ever in front of me.  Just wonder if we showered for a bit and then I did it, would it happen?  Does the body keep producing the virus even without symptoms constantly?

No because the water would wash off the virus

Thanks, Life.  Would even pressing her up against a shower wall be considered a risk while we were showering?

Again, we weren't really rubbing each other.  I even asked her the next day if my penis ever touched her vaginal area and she said no.

I just hear all these stories of people with one night stands (I've known this person for awhile though and she says she asks to get tested A-Z for everything every time) who contract it with not seeing any sores on a person, but I have no idea what's a real risk then if I think this is the worst ya know?

Thanks!

Its not that easy to catch. Ive had more than my share of even much more risky situations and never contracted hsv so please dont worry about the one you describe above.

Thanks, Life!  I asked her about HSV1 and she said she's never had a cold sore in her life...even though you can be asymptomatic.

Can I ask when a situation like that WOULD become a risk?  Just for future reference?  We naked spooned and sorta grinded in that position and is that a concern?  If all HSV2 was being worried about was sores that'd be easy, but so many people are asymptomatic and that just scares me.

I'm sorta terrified to be with anyone now the more I learn about HSV2.

Thank you again for all your help to me and this board.

Hi, from what you describe with the genital contact there would be no concern that you contracted HSV from your affair. A more likely would be oral hsv1 from kissing, but with no lip sores at the time, you can pretty much rule that out as well.
