Herpes????

Long story short, I had unprotected sex with a woman I have been dating. It was oral and vaginal. Before sex she asked if I am clean, I assured her I was and I have the paper work to prove it. I had been recently tested. I asked if she was clean, she assured me she was. All this happened on a Saturday night around midnight. On Monday, while using the restroom, I notice one singular bump on my penis. It is not on the head but more on the shaft near the head. No itching, no other symptoms, just a bump that sort of look like a pimple. I am paranoid and all of a sudden, I am imagining symptoms that probably don't exist. I am monitoring how much I urinate and other stuff that are said to be indicators. Does this sound like herpes? By the way, I talked to the woman and she is an RN and she told me that she hadn't been tested before but knows that she is clean......I wish I knew she hadn't been tested before we did what we did. Please help me, it is driving me crazy!

Can you possibly answer a question?

My wife recently cheated on me. Her igm for hsv 2 came back at 1:40 after 3-5 weeks post exposure. The igg was negative. It said the igm was confirmed by a second method (IFA). Is there still a chance this is a false postive and she doesn't have it or does the IFA method confirm it''s not false?

Thank you both for your advise! I now feel better about my current situation. I will pay attention to the situation for the next week or two and go get the appropriate testing in 2 months or so. I normally get tested every year anyways. I will keep you posted if there is any change.

Regardless of my own outcome, I still want for her to get tested as well. I know this is outside of medical advise but how do I approach the topic of testing with the woman I am seeing. She promises that she is clean and I feel that she takes it as an insult that I am even pressing her with this issue. Could it be that she has this attitude because she is an RN? Any advise on how to approach her with the topic without it seeming like I am accusing her of having an STI?

Hi also,  2 days is a bit outside the window period for herpes sores to show up, the average is in the end of the first week or 2. Also herpes are not bumps that dont open. Herpes sores appear, open and spread clear liquid speading the sores to the surrounding area in a cluster type grouping. You can have a blood test at the 8 week mark as an indicator for herpes.

It is smaller than a quarter inch. The bump is small. I was wondering if it came about because I did not shower until late into the next day. I am not sure if not showering right away can cause a pimple.

Not a presentation consistent with herpes.

How big is it? Less than a quarter inch?

I wonder if this is the sort of thing that occurs naturally from time to time and you're just noticing it given concerns.
