Herpes???

Would anyone be able to give me advice please? I had a sexual encounter with 2 months ago and I took a igg blood test after 6 weeks. The test came back negative for type 1 and 2. Would I need to do another test at a later date to make sure my results are accurate? I spoke to the people that done my test and they said my results are accurate. Would I need to do another one? Thanks for any advice

Hi, could someone please tell me how accurate are diasorin herpes tests please? I had one at 6&9 weeks and they came back negative and I've just done one at 11 weeks and 3 days. Would my results at 11 weeks and 3 days be accurate? Thanks

Hi, I asked for my results and they came back as <0.01 for type 1 and <0.05 for type 2. They said my results were the same on both my tests at 6 weeks and 9 weeks. Would I need to do another test at 12 weeks?
Thanks

Terri Warren says blood test IGG at 12 weeks is conclusive for hsv2. I would get one then and if you're still worried order a Western Blot test through the Westover Clinic at 16 weeks to make sure for hsv1.

However, if you're not having symptoms then you should be fine at 12 weeks.

I'm not sure that's why I am asking for advice.i didn't see any sores. Thanks
No, it's skin to skin contact, even if no sores are present, but MUCH less likely

This is a great indicator and most likely will not change at twelve weeks. That test and the fact your genitals just touched it's safe to say
You were not at risk here and do not have hsv.

I have also red other people's posts here on medhelp saying that they tested positive by swab after 12 months of negative blood tests.

Some medical sources say that 16 weeks is enough for most people to seroconvert. However, other reliable sources say that some people take up to a year (!) to produce antibodies. After a year, everyone will have antibodies. It is a torture. Again this are all reliable sources.

Hi, 8 weeks would be a better indicator but as a rule 3 month is conclusive but i dont see it changing from 8 to 3 months.
