Herpetic whitlow chances

Excuse me, first time poster.
So today I was helping mom with the computer and she has something on her lips that looks like two bumps, and she was touching it while I was writing on her computer. When I was done I stood up and wanted to leave but she let go of her lips and held my hand to  stay for a moment.
So my question is and I'm sorry if I seem uneducated, if that on her lips is herpes could I catch herpetic whitlow from that. I went to wash my hands a minute after she held me.
If it was, it wasn't in its liquid state but more like dry, and my hand was just a bit dry, with no notable cuts.
I'm not worried of catching oral herpes cause many people have it but I'm not a person who kisses other people or hug often so I never actually had any herpes outbreak in my life (so I'm worried if that raises my chances).
I've read if you never have chicken pox that you have a higher chance of catching it which I never had.
Sorry for the long post.

Short answer is this was a no risk event. Herpes whitlow is very rare for a reason.
